Richard "Tick" Segerblom

Richard “Tick” Segerblom was raised in Boulder City, Nevada. A third generation Nevadan, Tick obtained a BA from Pomona College and a law degree from the University of Denver. He has been listed as one of Nevada’s top employment lawyers in “The Best Lawyers in America." He handled the first sexual harassment case in Nevada, and has been involved in numerous court cases involving employee rights. In the mid-1970s, Tick served in the White House Personnel Office under President Carter. He later served as the Southern Executive Director of the California Democratic Party. Since returning to Nevada in 1983, he served as the State Chair of the Nevada Democratic Party and Las Vegas Planning Commission. From 2006-10, he was a member of the Nevada State Assembly, and in 2012, was elected to the State Senate where he serves as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and on the Senate Education Committee.
