Saber Rock grew up in Kabul, Afghanistan and is fluent in five languages: Farsi/Dari, Pashtu, English, Urdu and Punjabi. In 2001, Rock founded and directed the Arman Nasseri institute, which grew to have 53 teachers who trained 1,800 adults how to use computers, be aware of American culture and interpret three languages. Most of his graduates went on to work for US Forces as interpreters and cultural advisors. In 2004, Rock began working for the US military where he trained key commanders how to interact with Afghan leaders. Rock eventually went to the front lines of Afghanistan in some of the most dangerous regions in the world. In Helmand Province Rock assisted a US Marine Corps Civil Affairs Teams on hundreds of security patrols. In Helmand he developed a radio program for the local district and a citizen police training curriculum as part of the Marines' information strategy to increase stability, enhance security, and promote education. This led to an assassination attempt where he nearly lost his life and was left severely injured. Despite this near-death experience, Saber Rock continued to fight for peace and went on to train the armies of France, Poland, Germany and Georgia as a cultural advisor.
