Twila Brase, RN, PHN, is president and co-founder of Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom, a national organization focused on protecting health privacy and supporting patient and doctor freedom. She is a certified public health nurse who specialized in ER Nursing. She conducts research, publishes reports and speaks nationwide to civic and medical organizations. She was listed on Modern Healthcare’s 2009 “100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare.” Her efforts in Washington DC led to a federal consent law, a nationwide “Truth about HIPAA” campaign, parents’ rights lawsuits, and The Wedge of Health Freedom. Her “Health Freedom Minute” airs on over 800 radio stations in 47 states. She testifies regarding legislation, meets with members of Congress, is quoted as a resource by media, and her commentaries have been published in The Daily Caller, Star Tribune, THE HILL, Townhall, Wall Street Journal and Congressional Record (“Blame Congress for HMOs”).
