Jorgensen was born in Arendal, Norway in 1947 and graduated from Harvard College in 1969 with honors in political science. Jorgensen is the majority owner of two industry-based conference and research companies, which in turn own and manage about 300 conferences focused on biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, health care, insurance, financial services, entertainment, and infrastructure development: www.worldcongress.com and www.cambridgeinnovationinstitute.com. Jorgensen is also the Co-Founder of Grameen America www.grameenamerica.org, the largest and fastest growing US based not for profit microfinance organization based on the number of borrowers, and co-Founder of www.Grameen PrimaCare.org which is designed to provide unlimited access to primary care for undocumented immigrant women and their families for about $10 per person per week.Jorgensen resides in Concord, Massachusetts with his wife Kathy. They have three adult children Lorens, Nicholas and Kristen.
